Electrical Engineer
Elsner Engineering Works, Inc. seeks an Electrical Engineer to design control systems for complex converting and packaging machinery. Preferred candidates will have experience with PLC’s, PC’s, servo drives, and motion control systems. Giddings & Lewis experience is a plus. May require limited travel (less than 10%) to customer site for installation assistance, training, start-up or servicing. A Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university is a plus. Hands-on experience of at least 5 years preferred.
Assembly / Field Service Technician
Elsner Engineering Works, Inc. is seeking a self-motivated Assembly / Field Service Technician to erect in-house and service and support in the field special machinery for the converting and packaging industries. Individual must be self-motivated, have the ability to interact with different personalities and cultures, be a creative problem-solver and have great mechanical and electrical aptitude to resolve complex machinery problems in the field. Position requires 25 – 40% travel for up to three (3) weeks at a time and includes international travel via all modes of transportation. When working in house, this individual assembles the equipment and sub-assemblies to meet both in-house and customer requirements. This individual will perform in house equipment demonstrations, install equipment, train customer personnel and trouble-shoot equipment in house and in the field. Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds (36 kg). Must have a proven successful mechanical, electrical and PLC work history. Candidate should have familiarity with PC file structure and Windows. Must be able to work twelve (12) hour days at times. A minimum of two (2) years in a machine shop environment assembling mechanical and electrical from blueprints and schematics as must. A two (2) year degree in electronics or machine maintenance preferred along with PLC trouble shooting experience. Foreign language skills a plus.
